Spring is in the air !
With the coming of Spring, we feel the renewal of life, as plants push through the earth and blossoms bud on the bushes and trees.
The air is fresh and fertile.

As we live more naturally, we feel a stronger connection to the earth.
* Walking barefoot on the ground.
* Wearing natural fibers such as organic cotton, hemp, linen, and bamboo.
* Walking or riding our bicycle.
And in the last few years, more and more of us, are growing gardens.
When you see the recent news coming out of the US & Australia, where they are experiencing dramatic drought. In California, there are thousands of fruit and almond trees that are being uprooted, and thousands of acres of farmland that will not be planted this year due to no available water. It is becoming clear that the food growing and food delivery chain is getting more and more fragile, as climate change, unsustainable agricultural practices, gmo and chemical farming are all affecting food production.
As we see the desire to have organic, local food on our table, it is clear that we have to be growing our own food.
Start somewhere. Plant a seed in a clay pot in the kitchen, plan a vertical garden, dig up some of the grass in your backyard, sign up for a community garden plot, or even move out into the country.

Take a step this year to become more involved in creating your own food source.

About The RawBC.org

RawBC.org promotes a raw food plant-based diet of fresh fruits and vegetables, seeds and nuts, which are rich in enzymes, nutrients, vitamins, phytochemicals, and life force energy. Contributors to this site were working hard behind the scenes for many years to deliver raw food ideas and information to people looking for a healthier and more alive lifestyle throughout British Columbia.

Why Raw?

Did you know that cooking food destroys most of the food’s nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins and enzymes, which are essential to life and health? A raw diet is the more natural way to eat. All of nature consumes its food raw! Human beings are the only species that cook their food!
