A 12 step support group program for Raw Fooders in the Comox
Valley, we follow the format of 12 Steps to Raw Food,
by Victoria Boutenko, focusing on a new step each meeting.
- Meeting time 7-9pm
- Predetermine a 'chair' for the meeting
- Sit in circle arrangement
- Read aloud 'Welcome'
- Go around circle, each person getting 2 min introductions
(brief story of our raw journeys thus far)
- Read aloud the 12 steps (each person taking a turn to
read)
- Read aloud the chapter designated for the meeting (each
person taking a paragraph or ½ page)
- Go around circle, each person getting 5 min (depending
on size of group) to comment on this meeting's topic
- Note: Reminder that at this point one may only speak when
it is their turn - no interruptions
- Remaining time at end used for Q & A and general raw
chatting
- Finish with an inspirational quote or reading
We decided as a group that Cooked Foods Anonymous would take
the form of a meeting only - no food, no drink. Food
is already far too much of a constant entity in our lives
as we make this transition to raw food. Our goal is to eat
and drink for nutrition, moving away from the social norm
of having/expecting food with every function.
COOKED FOOD ANONYMOUS
When: Held twice monthly on the 1st and 3rd Sunday
@ 7pm - 9pm (alternates with the 2 potlucks in town so
that there is one raw function happening every Sunday).

We are gathered today as
A circle of individuals all undergoing change
A circle of individuals wanting to be more
A circle of individuals who choose to believe,
Instead of to not
That this common quest for health
Through living foods
Is the foundation from which we are all growing
Regardless of the stage at which we are at
We are all connected
We are all the same
Because of this commitment,
This incredible gift of life
That we have given to ourselves

And learn from the wisdom gained
